“Dr Bunter is always prepared, ready and knowledgeable with my current health status and mediations. She gives me her full attention during appointments and I always feel like she gives careful consideration to my concerns. If something major happened to me right now, her advice would be the first that I would seek because she always seems so “on the mark” with knowing available treatments, and medications. I have been her patient for 2 years now, and I have complete confidence in Dr Butner. ”

About Dr. Jenna Butner

I am a double-boarded addiction medicine and family medicine physician specializing in treating substance use disorders. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed my residency in family medicine at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, and affiliate of Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. I pursued fellowships in Addiction Medicine at Yale University and Palliative Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Additionally, I recently completed my Master of Public Health at Yale School of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. I am an Assistant Professor Adjunct in General Internal Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Program in Addiction Medicine, and Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale School of Nursing. I specialize in treating addiction disorders, specifically opioid, stimulant, alcohol, and benzodiazepine use disorders, in addition to behavioral addiction, including gaming and internet use. My approach is rooted in medication management combined with cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing approaches. As a trained family medicine provider, I provide tailored primary care management, including weight loss, hormone replacement therapy, and chronic pain management. I believe treatment requires a trusting environment and meeting my patients where they are. Building rapport and trust, alongside providing medication management, is at the core of my approach to care. Fee Schedule: Initial: 635 Follow-up: 475 *Note: I do not accept insurance but can assist you in submitting out-of-network claims.

Dr Bunter is always prepared, ready and knowledgeable with my current health status and mediations. She gives me her full attention during appointments and I always feel like she gives careful consideration to my concerns. Dr. Jenna Butner made me believe in doctors again. She was a key factor in helping me recover from my opiate addiction and staying free from my opiate addiction when other doctors in the past either got me more harmful opiates with ease or stereotyped me as drug seeking or were dismissive in my attempts to get treatment. Over the years her consulting, therapy and prescribed medications to my specific symptoms has kept me clean and changed my life. She’s patient, tolerant and understanding with me and knowledgeable in her treatments. I’d recommend her to everyone and will continue to remain her patient for as long as she’ll have me.
I have been with Dr Butner for about 5-6 years now and she has honestly been the only doctor in her field to make a significant impact on my life. She is very kind and empathetic and always on top of my medical needs no matter the situation. I have followed her to two different practices now and will continue to be her patient no matter where she goes! :)
Jenna is a remarkable young woman and a patient and kind physician. From the moment I called her I felt that she exceeded all my expectations and keyed into my needs immediately. Her empathy and her understanding of what I was going through was instantaneous. As I continue to see her regularly, and improve, I must give her public recognition for the outstanding job she has done and the help she has given me through the years. If it’s possible to recommend her 1000 times I would.
I don’t know where I’d be without Dr.Butner. Her medical knowledge is bar none but the realreason I would recommend her to anyone is her deep compassion and empathy for her patients. There’s nothing we don’t talk about You’d be doing yourself a disservice seeing anyone else.
Doctor Butner is awesome. Unlike other doctors I have used over the years, she always makes herself available, is never in a rush, and always talks about all the options at hand before helping you make a decision about the right treatment plan.
Dr Butner is so well versed in so many areas of medicine. Her knowledge and grasp of medications is also amazing. She had a tremendous amount of patience and compassion while listening to all my medical concerns and she addressed them all. I have already recommended her to other people. So happy I found her.
Professional, knowledgeable and attentive.
