What should a new client know about working with you?

My primary goal in my integrative psychiatry practice is to do more than alleviate symptoms; I aim to uncover the underlying root causes of your mental health challenges. My compassionate nature and extensive training equip me to guide you on your journey, combining medication management with mindfulness techniques, nutritional insights, sleep optimization, and more. I strongly emphasize collaboration and tailor treatment plans to suit patients' needs, preferences, and goals. If you're looking for a streamlined approach to address your mental health needs with a single provider who can manage medication and psychotherapy, I offer both services. You can choose between in-person appointments at my Brooklyn office or telehealth sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation: The initial session is a semi-structured clinical interview designed to collect information about your current symptoms, past psychiatric history, medical history, family history, and social factors. We will provide a preliminary or final psychiatric diagnosis based on the information gathered. This diagnosis will be the basis for developing a treatment plan and determining suitable interventions. The frequency of follow-up appointments is tailored to the specific needs of each individual. For Medication Management: If you're seeking medication management services, we will meet monthly following your Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment. As your treatment progresses, we will gradually extend the time between appointments to every 2-4 months. For Psychotherapy: We will typically meet weekly for several months if you're seeking psychotherapy services (with or without medication management). The frequency of these sessions will be adjusted based on your treatment progress and personal preference.
