About Jennie Barker
Jennie Barker, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Gorman Medical, PC, in Colorado Springs and Cripple Creek, Colorado. Jennie earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. After graduating, she worked as a registered nurse on a vascular medical surgical floor in Columbus, Ohio. Jennie moved to Colorado in 2019 and worked in a cardiothoracic vascular stepdown floor at UC Health in Colorado Springs, before returning to school for her master’s degree. She earned her Master of Science in nursing from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and graduated as a family nurse practitioner. At Gorman Medical, PC, Jennie provides holistic care for the whole family and sees patients of all ages. She specializes in primary care working closely with her patients to help them manage their physical and mental well-being to achieve their best health.

Jennie Barker has been an incredible primary care physician for the last 8 months.
She truly listens, does not dismiss concerns, and I hope I can continue to be under her care for a very long time.
As someone with multiple chronic illnesses and chronic pain, it's been extremely refreshing to find a doctor who really listens. She has found things that explain symptoms I've had for 2 decades with no answers.
Couldn't recommend her enough, especially for those who deal with chronic illness and are sick of dismissive doctors.

Jennie is a wonderful provider, she listens and helps find the right solutions, allows you to have your own ideas and influences in your health care. The only thing that I didnt like is the front desk person is unfriendly. They could definitely work on that.

The entire staff was friendly . I didn't wait too long, even though they said they were really busy that day. The doctor, very helpful, easy to talk to, as well as having wonderful bedside manner. Would definitely recommend as a health provider

I received a text at the end of the yesterday saying the doctor couldn’t see me and they would have to move my appointment to Thursday. I left a voicemail today relaying how I was upset about this because I had to drive 3 hours to get there and arranged my whole day around it. I also have other appointments tomorrow that I can’t postpone. No one called me back.

We enjoyed our appointment with Jenny! She was very attentive and answered all of my questions and eased all concerns. She was very playful with my toddler and it made his experience that more enjoyable and stress free. Any parent knows how much toddlers don’t enjoy doctors visits but he actually enjoyed his . She met all of our needs and I would definitely recommend her to anyone !!! SHES THE BEST

Jenny was great. She listened, she heard my concerns. I usually don’t like going to the dr. Most don’t hear me. Most spend 10 minutes with me after waiting an hour in the lobby. This experience was amazing. Felt like I actually found a medical professional I can return to. She was actually concerned. One of kind experience. Especially with having Medicaid.
