Jennifer Brennan has dedicated her career to women’s health as a nurse practitioner serving New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Marymount Manhattan College, followed by a second Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Women’s Health Nursing from Columbia University.

Would not recommend this office or medical professional to a first time gynecological patient. No hospitality showed by the first person at the desk, the rest were nice.
The doctor “explains” everything including possible side effects at a 100 miles per hour in a very robotic way. If it’s someone’s first time going to the gynecologist, they will feel intimidated. And anyone with no medical knowledge would not understand or remember anything said.

If you are someone who experiences regular vaginal infections or UTIs, I would especially recommend seeing her. She looks at samples under a microscope during my appointments so I can get an instant answer on whether or not I likely have a UTI, BV, or a yeast infection.
At previous offices, I would have to wait a few days before hearing the results and a diagnosis. I’m grateful that with Jennifer, I know what’s going on right away and can get prescribed treatment so I can start sooner rather than later.

One thing I will say is that Zocdoc keeps emailing you regarding information just ignore that and call the doctor office with your questions. Be 15 minutes early to your appointment to fill out any additional paperwork since it will be your first visit. The staff was amazing very attentive. Very nice and the doctor is great at listening to your concerns/questions no matter how? small. I will definitely be coming back.

Dr. Brennan was kind though I found her way of communicating to sound slightly condescending and without much emotion or compassion. I don’t think it was intentional. The office was mostly cleanly. Their patient portal didn’t contain all my appointment information and lab results. They also requested that I cancel my appointment through ZocDoc for some reason.

I had seen Jennifer before and she is really great but she is very overwhelmed with patients and it caused a VERY big problem during our appointment. I had severe constant vaginitis along with moderate uterine pain and she sent me home with some medicine but later on, I found out that it was actually because I was pregnant. That is a HUGE thing to overlook and although not her fault, I will not see her again.

I have been going for annual appointments with Dr. Brennan since about 2017. She is a great doctor and I always feel comfortable with her. I always feel free to ask questions and she answers patiently. The wait time is never long and the whole process is smooth.

Reception needs some work as far as attitudes are concerned but the nurses in the back who are taking blood etc. are great! The Doctor was great as well.

I’ve gone to this office for a few years and it’s exactly what I need. Dr Brennan is efficient and a clear communicator. She explains every step and makes sure to always ask if you have any questions. She’s very knowledgeable. The staff is really great, too! The front desk workers were so sweet and helpful! I also felt very safe with COVID regulations. I feel like they are serious about COVID protocol and the safety of their clients/staff.

Gramercy Gynecology is an absolutely terrible office. I have gone to them for annual checkups for a few years, and they were fine. When I found a lump in my breast, and went for that referral, my experience completely changed. To begin with, they are affiliated with NYU Langone, who NEVER called me back when I tried to schedule a mammogram. I ended up finding a place on my own, since those calls were not returned. I also had to then get a biopsy done, and was never contacted about the results. I called the office at least 7 times before ever hearing back from anyone about my results, when the Imaging place had confirmed they sent the results to the office multiple times. After requesting my records numerous times, and being told they were sent out twice, I still have yet to receive them. This office is run terribly and its been nothing but added stress to an already unpleasant situation. I would urge anyone who needs more than just a standard checkup to go elsewhere. Other than a receptionist named Amanda, who was the only helpful person, and the only one who made me feel like I was human being instead of just another thing on a To Do List that could be ignored, my experience has been horrible. The office manager here should be ashamed!

I’ve been seeing Jennifer for several years now and have referred many friends to her. I cannot recommend her enough!! She helped me deal with a chronic issue I had been facing for years, and she always makes me feel calm. She is incredibly thorough and pragmatic. My favorite OBGYN I have ever seen in my life.

I went in because I hadn't been getting my period for a few months and Dr Brennan ordered blood work and then called and said that I needed an ultrasound based on the results of the blood work. When I came back in for the ultrasound, I waited over an hour to be seen (as I normally have at this office). After the procedure, the doctor came in and started to address my concern of "getting multiple periods and spotting between my cycle"--the exact opposite of why I had come. When I notified her of the mistake, she was very unsympathetic and never took the time to explain or reassure me that her analysis of the tests was now accurate. She then said she thought I might have PCOS, left the room to consult a doctor, came back in and said "nevermind" with no explanation. Doctors make mistakes but the lack of apology, concern or effort to fix the issue and assure me of proper care in the future was awful.
