Marriage and Family Therapist
33600 6th Ave S, Ste 240, Federal Way, WA
I specialize in helping couples move from conflict and disconnection toward greater understanding, emotional closeness, and lasting connection. I also work with individuals who feel stuck in life, are navigating life transitions or struggling with difficult emotions, or are ready to break unhelpful patterns and move toward a more fulfilling life. I offer in-person sessions in Federal Way and online therapy throughout Washington. For couples, I help partners understand recurring patterns of conflict, improve communication, repair relational wounds, and rebuild trust. I also support couples navigating premarital concerns, blended-family challenges, and major life transitions. My goal is to help partners move beyond the same frustrating arguments and develop a stronger, more secure relationship. For individuals, I offer a compassionate space to explore life stressors, anxiety, recovery, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Together, we work toward greater self-understanding, meaningful breakthroughs, and lasting change. My approach draws on advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and completion of Levels 1–3 of the Gottman Method, two well-established approaches to strengthening relationships. I bring a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental style to therapy, helping clients gain insight, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we'll look beyond surface-level struggles to understand the patterns and underlying needs that may be keeping you stuck. Whether we're working on your relationship or your individual growth, my goal is to help you gain new perspectives, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each session is guided by what you're experiencing and what you hope to work toward. We'll begin by checking in about what's been happening since we last met and identifying what's most important to focus on that day. From there, we'll explore your experiences, emotions, and relationship patterns to better understand what's contributing to your struggles. Depending on your needs, we may explore different perspectives, practice new skills, or identify practical steps you can take between sessions. In couples therapy, I help both partners feel heard and understood while guiding conversations toward the emotions and needs beneath conflict and the patterns that keep you feeling stuck. Together, we'll work toward healthier communication, greater understanding, and a stronger emotional connection. For couples who prefer a more structured approach, we can use the Gottman Relationship Assessment to gain specific insights into your relationship's strengths and areas for growth, helping us identify priorities and guide our work together. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling heard and understood, with greater clarity about yourself or your relationship and a sense of direction for moving forward.
