Hello, my name is Jen Huwer, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master's in Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Herzing University in Minneapolis, as well as a Master's in Nursing Education and a Bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University. I'm here to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to improve your mental health and overall well-being. I believe in a holistic and patient-centered approach, meaning I take the time to understand your unique experiences and challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your mental health journey is personal, and I’m honored to walk alongside you. I look forward to working together to create a plan that helps you feel your best. My journey into working in mental health is personal, and I know firsthand how hard it is to find the help that you need and want. I want to be the provider I had such a hard time finding myself. I am a mother to two beautiful girls, one cat, and two dogs. I love running and pretending to be a master DIYer.

In the first meeting, I like to get to know you better and understand your life and circumstances. From there, we can discuss further the reasons for the visit and how we can help.
