What should a new client know about working with you?

NO MEDICARE OR MEDICAID. CONTROLLED MEDICATION ONLY IN TENNESSEE. A former mentor once shared a profound piece of advice that guides my practice to this day: "You have to treat them like your own family." What I do is more than a profession; it's a life mission. Serving you is not just a job—it's my purpose, deeply rooted in my faith. Regardless of who you are, when we meet virtually, there's no room for ego. I firmly believe in treating my clients as equals. I don't perceive myself as superior. I'm here to serve you. I'm committed to honesty because I genuinely care about your well-being. If at any point you feel I've erred, I'm not hesitant to apologize. What truly matters to me is your journey to wellness. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to serve you on this meaningful path.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

NO MEDICARE OR MEDICAID. CONTROLLED MEDICATION ONLY IN TENNESSEE. Dear [Patient], To schedule an appointment, please access my calendar on Zocdoc. Once scheduled: Expect a call or text from me. I'll provide additional details and grant access to a HIPAA-compliant portal for our video visits (please note, video visits are external and not within Zocdoc). Your time matters. During our sessions, I prioritize spending adequate time with you. Initial visits are allotted 60 minutes, while follow-ups are scheduled for 30 minutes. Rushing through appointments isn't my style, and I aim to ensure you never feel hurried. Thank you for entrusting me with your care. Warm regards, Jen Madu, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I am so thankful and fortunate to be treated by Jen Madu. I was struggling with anxiety which led to OCD. On our first visit she kindly asked me about my life, job, and family. She determined that the anxiety is related to my specific job and helped me get through it. Her diagnosis was spot on. She helped me get through it with medication and counseling. My anxiety is pretty much non existent at this point, and my life is so much better from the help she provided. I cannot say enough good things about Jennifer Madu.
I did my treatment with Jen Madu for a very severe depression and anxiety episode I had last year. She was extremely professional, caring, paid attention to all my needs in detail. I will be forever grateful for the care she provided me. If I’m here well and healthy today s because of her!!!! She’s very intelligent and competent for what she does. I highly recommend her for any mental health issues you might be experiencing.
Jennifer is very knowledgeable and kind!
