Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. As a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the understanding that our experiences shape how we see ourselves and relate to the world. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approaches, EMDR, and family systems theory to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop meaningful coping skills, and feel more confident navigating life's challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin or have had difficulty feeling understood in the past. I want you to know that you don't have to have everything figured out before we meet. I bring warmth, patience, and genuine curiosity to our work together. I recognize that everyone has a unique story, and I believe it's important to understand the experiences and relationships that have shaped you rather than simply focusing on symptoms. My experience working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals facing significant mental health challenges has taught me the importance of meeting people where they are. We'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on what matters most in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you'd like to be different in your life. We'll explore your experiences, current challenges, and the strengths you already bring to the process. From there, we'll work together to develop an approach that fits your individual needs. Depending on your goals, our sessions may involve exploring patterns in your thoughts and relationships, developing tools to manage anxiety or difficult emotions, processing past experiences, or strengthening your ability to navigate stressful situations. I believe therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. We'll regularly check in about what's helping, what may need to change, and how you're feeling about your progress. My hope is that you leave therapy with a deeper understanding of yourself and practical tools that support lasting, meaningful change.
