About Dr. Jennifer Stockhausen

Philosophy of Care To treat patients as people with kindness and respect. I am passionate about preventative care and educating about lifestyle changes to help people live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Why I Entered Medicine My grandfather was a physician and is my biggest role model. He had a passion for medicine and loved treating his patients. I was able to see from a young age how rewarding a career in medicine could be. Fortunately, I found that I really enjoyed studying the sciences and helping people and am now following in his footsteps with my own career in medicine. I earned my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I completed my internship and residency in Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, Chesterfield Family Practice, after earning my bachelor's degree from Drew University. Personal Interests I love to spend time with my two children and my husband. I also enjoy cooking, reading, yoga, and spending time outdoors.
