What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a calm, respectful, and supportive environment—one where you can be honest, ask questions, and feel truly heard. I listen carefully and take the time to understand what you’re going through so we can build a treatment plan that actually fits your life, not the other way around. During your first visit, we’ll talk about your concerns, your history, and your goals. I explain things clearly, step by step, so you never feel rushed or confused. My approach is structured, evidence-based, and collaborative. I also believe mental health care doesn’t have to feel cold or intimidating. I’m professional, but I’m human too—and I naturally bring a bit of gentle humor into sessions when it’s appropriate. Sometimes a small, light moment can make difficult conversations feel safer and more manageable. Above all, you’ll be treated with respect, honesty, and compassion. We work together, at your pace, toward stability, clarity, and meaningful improvement in your quality of life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session with me is structured, clear, and focused on understanding what you’re experiencing. During the initial evaluation, we explore your symptoms, history, and current challenges in detail. I ask thoughtful questions, listen closely, and work to understand the full picture—not just what brings you in today, but how it’s been affecting your daily life. Once I have a complete understanding, I explain my diagnostic impressions and walk you through the treatment options step by step. My approach is collaborative: I want you to understand the “why” behind every recommendation, whether it involves medication, lifestyle changes, or supportive strategies. You will always know what we’re doing and what comes next. Follow-up sessions are more focused and fine-tuned. We review how you’re responding to the plan, make adjustments as needed, and talk about what’s working and what still feels challenging. My style is calm, patient, and reassuring—and yes, when appropriate, I do bring in a light sense of humor to keep things human and reduce some of the tension that can come with discussing mental health. Throughout our work, my goal is to create a safe, honest space where you feel comfortable speaking openly and where we move toward stability and real, noticeable improvement together.
