I had never had a skin screening before, so I don't have any basis for comparison. I'm a white guy with many (really many) moles on my skin, some of which are quite large, and the examination lasted less than 5 minutes. The evaluation seemed very superficial to me. However, as I mentioned, I've never done this before, so this might be the appropriate amount of time for this type of check.”

Jeremy Sommer, MS, PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant who has been working in dermatology for many years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, and graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies. Jeremy's experience of sustaining a serious injury ended up being a blessing in disguise. While receiving physical therapy he realized that the medical field, which was always a deep rooted interest, was where he wanted to be. Being a PA would allow him the opportunity to help people, build relationships, and make change for others.
Jeremy is experienced at treating various skin conditions across all age groups. He has special interest in eczema, psoriasis, molloscum, warts, STDs and alopecia. Jeremy's expertise is in the detection and management of skin cancer. He is highly trained in many surgical procedures ranging from simple growths to more complicated skin conditions including the removal of cysts, lipomas, and atypical moles. Jeremy takes pride in his cosmetic skills, particularly the administration of Botox, and is happy to work with his patients to improve their overall appearance and quality of life.
When not helping others he enjoys reading, traveling, sports and movies.

Overall, the appointment was quick and straightforward, the doctor was helpful and nice, he saw the issue straight away and proceeded to solve the issue. I would recommend this doctor to others.
