Dr. Jessica L. Borowicz joined The Derm in 2011. Originally from Traverse City, MI, Dr. Borowicz received her bachelor's degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University. She earned her osteopathic medical doctorate from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA.
Dr. Borowicz completed her internship and residency in Dermatology at Largo Medical Center/Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Florida. She is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Dermatology & American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

She is very nice. Answered all my questions and concerns. What I liked the most during my visit with Dr. Borowicz, was that I didn't feel rushed when she came to see me. She sat down and waiting until I asked all my questions. A lot of other doctors I feel like rush the visit, Jessica took time and was patient.

Dr. Borowicz is thorough in her exams and is quite knowledgeable. She does a good job of framing treatment in terms of how it'd fit into your normal skincare and makeup routine, which is something that you won't necessarily find in an old-school dermatologist.

I was deeply disappointed by the quality of this appointment. Although I was a first time patient, Dr. Borowicz did not gather any sort of dermatological history, asked no specific questions about my skin or presenting concern, did not even turn on a bright light or closely examine my skin, and, in total, spent less than ten full minutes with me. She proceeded to prescribe nine (nine!) products that I should use, seven of which needed to be purchased directly from her practice. I was appalled by this blatant up-selling and irresponsible lack of attention and time. I carefully evaluated the products she recommended and selected the three (two prescriptions, one from her practice) that seemed at all related to my concern, and purchased only those. It is reprehensible that I had no time to ask questions, my concerns were not clearly addressed, and I had to ultimately evaluate my treatment options myself since I did not trust her motives for prescribing. I will not be back.

Really disappointed. The whole office is covered with propoganda for comsetic surgeries and the like.
She asked me like 2 questions before she started writing away with her prescription pad. She said she was going to "give" me a cream to help for itciness (assumed a manufacturers sample).
To my surprise, what really happened was I was charged for the cream without even telling me I was paying for it and how much. The woman at the front desk told me how much I owed for my copay, and had added $14 into the copay amount, which I only found out by asking why it was a higher than normal copay.
So much for "giving me" a cream, which by the way had some unusual homemade type packaging.
In summary, I won't go back. It felt more like I was being sold to than seeing a doctor.

Very impressed! I want to thank Dr. Borowicz for giving me my life back. Dealing with an itchy & scaling scalp since childhood, it had gotten progressively worse over the past few years. I had seen several Dermatologists none were able to relieve my symptoms, until I saw Dr. Borowicz. Dr. Borowicz knew exactly how to care for me. I no longer have countless nights of discomfort. Words cannot express my gratitude. I am so thankful to have found her!

Dr. Borowicz has been treating me for Acne for several years and I have seen a drastic improvement. She suggested I start Acutane a few years ago and that has changed my life. I'm a tenager that suffered severe acne and this is the only thing that worked. I trust Dr. Borowicz and all of her suggestions because she truly cares for her patients.

Dr. Borowicz is extremely thorough and has a very professional quality with how she treats her patients. I am also a huge fan of the product line her office carries - from the cleansers to a variety of creams. Without her sincere concern for my troubled skin and a combination of treatments and products. I would not have the skin I have today!
