Getting to know Dr. Jessica Brennan

You may be thoughtful and self-aware, yet find yourself repeating familiar patterns, struggling with self-doubt, or feeling disconnected in your relationships. I help individuals and couples better understand these patterns and create meaningful change. As a licensed clinical psychologist (PsyD) and certified yoga teacher with over 15 years of experience in hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice, I offer an integrative, evidence-based approach. I specialize in relationship and attachment concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, self-esteem, body image, disordered eating, and emotional adjustments associated with GLP-1 medications. My work combines relational insight, cognitive and behavioral strategies, and mind-body awareness to foster greater self-understanding, confidence, and connection.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, collaborative, compassionate, and direct. I offer thoughtful feedback and honest insight while creating a space where you feel understood and supported. Together, we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others. I believe meaningful change comes through curiosity, self-compassion, and a willingness to grow.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We begin by exploring your concerns, personal history, relationships, and goals. Together, we identify patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be contributing to current challenges. I integrate relational psychotherapy, evidence-based strategies, and mindfulness to support both deeper insight and practical change. Our work is individualized, collaborative, and focused on helping you feel more confident, connected, and fulfilled.

I've been seeing Dr Brennan for a little over a year and have had nothing but positive experiences. She is genuine, approachable, compassionate, and thoughtful in giving feedback. She is flexible with scheduling and prompt in returning communication. I highly recommend!
I’ve been seeing Jessica regularly for a few years now, and it’s been one of the best talk-therapy experiences I’ve ever had. Not only is she very perceptive and good at helping you figure out what’s going on, but she’s incredibly kind. Jessica was specifically very helpful for me while I was in college and away from home for the first time. I would 100% recommend her!
Dr. Brennan is wonderful! Always on time, professional and relatable. I appreciate her ability to listen, help navigate thoughts /situations & offer perspective that I’m unable to achieve on my own. She is able to do all that while cultivating trust, sincerity & compassion. In all honesty, she feels like a real person. I’ve had my fair share of bad experiences in therapy - feeling judged or at the very least, times where it felt like I was talking to a wall. It would almost always get to a point where I felt I was just wasting my time/resources. I always feel like there is progression and/or a takeaway from a session with Dr. Brennan. Highly recommend!
Dr. Brennan was the support I needed while going through major life changes. She's flexible with scheduling, provides thoughtful observations and feedback and helps you take concrete steps toward improving your mental health.
I've worked with Jessica with a number of years and I couldn't recommend her more highly! She is a fantastic therapist - she's perfect at active listening, providing feedback, and digging into your needs and challenges. It has always been easy and straightforward to schedule and make appointments too!
Dr. Brennan is always responsive to me needs. In addition to helping in the moment, she remembers information from previous sessions which help build upon the work we do together.
Dr. Brennan was exactly what I needed in my situation. She did an amazing job helping me understand myself through my past experiences and offered fantastic insights and advice. Her availability was also very flexible when needed.
