Dr. Jessica Clemons, MD, Board-Certified Psychiatrist, who received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and completed her residency training at NYU Langone Medical Center. She is passionate in providing accessible, quality mental health treatment and as a general psychiatrist treats adults with mental health conditions of all types. She also works with special populations including, reproductive psychiatry, college students, LGBTQ+, minority groups, and those who have generally felt othered.
While Dr. Clemons primarily provides direct clinical care, she has been recognized by Forbes in making mental health apart of current times. Through her innovative use of social media, she has brought trust mental health content to the general public in a relatable and disgestible tone. Her work has been nationally recognized by the American Psychiatric Association and most recently by Dr. Vivek Murthy, US Surgeon General. Lastly, she is an author of, Be Well: A Guide to Better Mental Health for All, an Audible Original created to demystify mental health treatment.
While her work is primarily in providing direct clinical care, her mission is to reduce stigma associated with mental illness. Her efforts consists of using social media to educate her following which led her to be selected to provide the first live televised therapy session on VH1, “In Session Live: With Dr. Jess” along with recognition from medical societies, mental health and government organizations, and most importantly the community in which she serves. Having been featured on multiple networks as a mental health expert from CNN to ABC News, Dr. Clemons continues to impact the community.
