When you meet with Jessica, you’ll meet with a caring provider who has an innate ability to help you feel at ease while overcoming fears regarding life changes and mental health concerns. She’ll welcome you into a collaborative atmosphere, where she’ll help you understand what is going on inside your body and how exactly medication will affect it. She’ll help you discover your fullest potential which is already inside of you, and empower you to live an authentic and fulfilling life.
Jessica specializes in treating trauma throughout the lifespan. She’s experienced in treating many other mental health concerns as well, such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and mood disorders. Along with medication management, she utilizes therapeutic communication, active listening, and motivational interviewing to devise a care plan uniquely crafted to each patient’s needs. Jessica also uses trauma informed and patient centered care to best communicate with her clients.
With almost 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, Jessica has accumulated a strong foundation in areas such as intensive care, surgery, and hospice. Her career in the psychiatric field began in 2015 in drug and alcohol treatment centers. She then worked for two years on an acute inpatient pediatric behavioral health unit, where she found her passion in pediatric psychiatry. In 2018, she enrolled at Colorado State University Pueblo to receive her master’s degree in nursing (MSN) and is now a Board-Certified Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Jessica works with ages 15+.
