About Dr. Jessica Dietert

Jessica “Nikki” Dietert, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Mohs surgeon at Westlake Dermatology. Dr. Dietert was born and raised in Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry at The University of Tulsa. During her undergraduate time, she also studied abroad in Cork, Ireland. She then earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where she was elected to the prestigious honors society Alpha Omega Alpha. She received her dermatology training during residency at The University of Texas at Houston/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident in her final year. She then finished training with a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. She has a special interest in skin cancer, Mohs surgery and cutaneous reconstruction. She also has an interest and training in an array of cosmetic procedures and procedural dermatology and has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters on related topics. Dr. Dietert is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society. Dr. Dietert served as the President of the Austin Dermatologic Society in 2020. In her spare time, Dr. Dietert enjoys traveling, live music, learning to garden, and spending time with her husband, dog, family and friends. Dr. Dietert is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy skin and believes in practicing in a patient-first manner.

Dr. Dietert’s manner was calm and relaxing - and painless. The nurses were professional, helpful and gave excellent instructions for home care. The staff at the front desk were all friendly and helpful. I’ve been treated at three Westlake Dermatology clinics and all three were exactly like this. Everybody is always so friendly and helpful.
The staff that checked me into the office were very friendly. The Dr.’s assistant was very nice and answered and listened to me talk . She took the time to listen and described what she would be doing. Dr. Dietert was so wonderful and was great to talk to during my procedure. I would most definitely recommend her and her staff to fix your medical issue.
