Getting to know Jessica Logel

Currently accepting new patients ages 15+ with prompt telehealth appointments available. I provide psychiatric medication management and supportive therapy for anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. I accept most major commercial insurance plans and strive to provide collaborative, individualized care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that I take a collaborative, judgment-free, and practical approach to treatment. I focus on creating a space where clients feel comfortable being honest about what they’re experiencing, whether that involves anxiety, depression, ADHD symptoms, stress, sleep issues, life transitions, or relationship concerns. My style is supportive but direct, and I work with clients to develop realistic strategies that fit their individual goals and lifestyles. I believe mental health care works best when clients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment plan. Sessions may include medication management, psychotherapy interventions, coping skills, lifestyle and holistic recommendations, and education about symptoms and treatment options. In addition to my psychiatric background, I am also certified in nutrition and have experience practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). This broader medical background allows me to look at both physical and mental health together and consider how factors such as nutrition, sleep, hormones, stress, and overall wellness may impact mental health symptoms and recovery. I value consistency, open communication, and individualized care, and I encourage clients to ask questions and provide feedback throughout the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach begins with a thorough evaluation to better understand each client’s symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, stressors, and treatment goals. During the initial appointment, we discuss current concerns, past psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep patterns, nutrition, relationships, work or school functioning, and any factors that may be contributing to symptoms. I also take time to understand clients as individuals, not just their diagnoses. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy interventions, coping skills, behavioral strategies, lifestyle modifications, and holistic approaches when appropriate. I do incorporate supportive therapy and solution-focused techniques into sessions, and I believe medication works best when combined with practical tools and emotional support. Follow-up sessions typically involve reviewing symptoms, discussing progress, evaluating medication effectiveness and side effects if applicable, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed. Sessions may also focus on stress management, emotional processing, relationship dynamics, executive functioning challenges, sleep hygiene, or building healthier routines. Because of my background as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and certification in nutrition, I also consider the connection between physical and mental health, including how nutrition, exercise, sleep, hormones, and other medical factors may impact mood, anxiety, focus, and overall wellbeing. My goal is to provide collaborative, individualized care where clients feel heard, supported, and actively involved in the treatment process.
