Jessica Soni just recently joined the CareMount team, practicing in our Fishkill location. She earned her MD at American University of Antigua College of Medicine and did her pediatric training at Nassau University Medical Center on Long Island. In a short time, she has already developed a devoted following of patients and families. Although she finds all of pediatrics to be special, she has a particular interest in developmental milestones and adolescent health. Jessica understands how important communication is in her encounters with patients. I try to give my full attention to the patient and parent. Listening is a very important skill that we in the medical profession can all use more of, and most of our diagnoses comes from the history a parent provides. She feels that a thorough explanation to parents is imperative for them to understand their children's health. Jessica is married and has a 4 year old son. Her favorite part of being a pediatrician is watching the children grow from infancy to young adulthood, which she is doing alongside her own son! Outside of work, she is a big fan of Harry Potter, and loves listening to Punjabi music. Note: Getting your child immunized against preventable diseases helps set them up for a healthy life.
