Jessica Spizzirri, CCC - SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist
IL
Hi! I'm Jessica. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2020. I wanted to become a speech-language pathologist because communication is everywhere, whether it be in public speaking or simply holding someone’s hand. If a person has a speech or language disorder, it can affect everything almost everything they do. I want to help and advocate for people experience difficulty communicating. I have taken trainings, courses, and certifications in Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking (completed 2023), Orton-Gillingham- Comprehensive (completed 2022) and morphology (completed 2023), Simon Says Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy Programs (Tongue Tips, Tiny Tongue Tips, Thumbs Up) - currently completing program for certification. I previously worked in the school setting. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, and rooted in client empowerment to create self advocates.
