Jessica was naturally drawn to the field of mental health from a young age. While exploring career paths, she considered becoming either a psychiatrist or a social worker until she discovered the role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and knew it was the perfect fit. She earned her Master's in Nursing from the University of California San Francisco, which deepened her understanding of the science behind psychotropic medications. Jessica is especially interested in how and why these medications work and enjoys integrating that knowledge into compassionate, evidence-based care.
