Welcome! Compassionate, honest, informative care for your total wellbeing. Family practice and psychiatric certified to be able to manage more than just your mental health. I specialize in working with patients struggling with feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, irritable, sad, depressed often due to a history of traumatic experiences whether in childhood due to neglectful or immature parental figures or as an adult due to poor relationships or any variety of things. Although it can be, trauma is not just from being in a war zone. I specialize in working with those utilizing therapy but still finding themselves struggling with symptoms and can also help with physical problems that can often be related to trauma experiences such as chronic headaches, stomach problems, sleep issues, chronic pain, over-eating, diabetes, and others. For 15 years, I've been a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and for 10 years also a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, dedicated to serving our community. I believe in a holistic approach to care, drawing on my extensive experience to create personalized treatment plans that consider all aspects of your health and well-being. My goal is to empower you with knowledge. I'm committed to being both compassionate and direct, taking the time to explain the reasoning behind every treatment recommendation and prescription. This way, you can feel confident and informed about your care. I specialize in psychiatric conditions, but have extensive primary care knowledge as well, offering comprehensive support through education, personalized guidance, and medication management to help you achieve your best health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Honest, compassionate, straight forward and down to earth. You are the master of your own journey. I am not here to save you, but I can help you navigate the path along your journey. I do not provide controlled medications such as stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse), benzodiazepines (Ativan, Xanax), or sedatives (Ambien, Lunesta). If you feel you need this type of medication please find a different provider.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I offer an initial free consultation to see if patients are comfortable working with me and if I feel I can be helpful to them or they need other levels of care/services. Then I complete assessments throughout visits and advise on medications and other recommendations throughout treatment.
