About Dr. Jigar Shah
Jigar K. Shah, DO is a Board-Certified family medicine physician at Maniya Health. He has received extensive training in acute and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, hyperlipidemia and more. In addition, he has extensive experience and training osteopathic manipulative medicine, a form of hands-on therapy to treat a variety of musculoskeletal complaints and conditions. Dr. Shah enjoys learning about his patients’ lives and forming close bonds with them and their families. He is excited to return to New Jersey and improve the health of the New Jersey community.
Dr. Shah completed residency in family medicine at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education – National Family Medicine Residency at Unity Health Care in Washington, DC. Unity Health Care is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center and teaching health center in the nation’s capital, where he received extensive training in community medicine, serving the underserved populations of DC. He also received training at Howard University Hospital, The George Washington University Hospital, the VA Medical Center of Washington, DC, and the Children’s National Medical Center.
He completed medical school and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. He was born and raised in New Jersey, and attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology while majoring in biomedical engineering.
Dr. Shah is an avid sports fan, and in addition to playing basketball, loves to watch his New York Football Giants. He is also huge fan of the soccer English Premier League and passionately supports Chelsea FC. He is patiently waiting for the day to see his Knicks and Mets win a title in his lifetime. He also enjoys watching movies, binging TV shows, and hiking.

There was more than an hour wait for an appointment that was scheduled in advance. Paperwork needed to be filled out although it was filled out on ZocDoc. However the office staff are friendly and understanding especially with it being very busy. The consideration of the patients time was a major issue.

This was my first visit. It was an introduction. There was a good wait between seeing the tech and the doctor. All understandable, can't control time. Doctor was very kind and listened. My review would be all 5 stars but this was my first time there. I'm interested in my follow up visit.
