About Dr. Jihae Kim
Dr. Kim is a Podiatric Physician at Gauld Foot & Ankle.
She has extensive training in both surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions. She has a special interest in the treatment of bunions, sports injuries, trauma, and arthritis.
Dr. Kim has also completed advanced arthroscopic training during her residency, enhancing her ability to provide minimally invasive treatment options.
Being Korean American, she is fluent in English and Korean, Dr. Kim is ABFAS board qualified and dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care. She focuses on understanding each patient’s lifestyle and goals to create treatment plans that help will them get back on their feet—comfortably and confidently.
In addition to providing comprehensive conservative and surgical foot and ankle care, Dr. Kim utilizes advanced minimally invasive techniques, including arthroscopy, Tenex treatment for chronic tendon pain, laser therapy for nail fungus, and controlled micro penetration for fungal toenail treatment to help patients recover with less pain and downtime.
Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys hiking with her husband and their dog, as well as exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.

The doctor asked me about my pain, but when I told her it wasn't in pain at the moment, she seemed to dismiss me and say "oh, well it sounds like you've found what you need with your current orthotics," but the pain shows up when I stand up, not when my foot is up on a table.
I just felt like she could have taken more time to help me figure out what's going on with my foot, since I took the time out of my schedule to come to this appointment, and this pain has been enough to warrant a visit in the first place.
I just didn't want to be dismissed like my pain was being managed by my orthotic, I KNEW that, but what I didn't know was why I had pain in the first place or if there were other things I could do to help.

The receptionist (whose name I didn’t get), the nurse or tech Mariah, and Dr. Kim were all professional, pleasant, and kind. I had something of a false alarm to do with my feet and they could have tried to upsell goods or services but did not at all. Instead, Dr. Kim encouraged me that I was doing the right things and gave me some exercises to add to what I am doing. I felt listened to and will certainly go back if I need podiatry care.

I will definitely be going back. The reception was very friendly and they saw me almost right away. I wasn't left waiting long once I got to the back. My X-rays were analyzed quickly and the doctor came right in. I was never left waiting long at all. They were all so kind. Office clean. When it came time for me to get my cortisone shot, the doctor even asked me if I wanted the medical assistant to hold my hand through the procedure. Of course I said no, but just the fact that she offered so that I would be comforted......5 stars easy!!

I ended up seeing Dr. Bergstrom because of a last minute reschedule, and she was fantastic. Great, clean office space, and all staff were very friendly. The doctor’s visit itself was efficient but not rushed. I left feeling better that day with a clear follow up plan for the long term. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

The office was great! Friendly and welcoming staff, was seen about 15 minutes after I checked in. The girl that saw me first was very nice, she informed me about insurance stuff and told me the doctor would be in shortly. Dr. Kim was so nice, very personable and respectful. She helped me with my injury short term and gave me all the details about the next week leading up to my second appointment. The whole experience was really good and I feel at ease about my upcoming procedure. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs it.
