What should a new client know about working with you?

As everyone reading this can most likely imagine, writing about yourself is challenging! To do my best to represent what it would be like to work with me, I decided to sit down at my computer and brainstorm some words reflecting the energy and experience I can bring into our provider-patient relationship. These were the words that came to mind in this order: Addiction- Divorce-Sexuality-Growth- Boundaries - Self Love - Authenticity In my 44 years on this earth, I have been faced with innumerable lessons. These lessons enable me to share my experience, strength, and hope with my patients to genuinely support lasting change in their lives. In addition to authentic real-life experiences, I offer an empathetic ear, an understanding heart, and many years of having my nose planted in books about human behavior. All these combined create the space needed to begin a path to a more fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first appointment will be your longest, approximately 60 minutes in length. During this first session, I will seek information on your struggles and what drove you to make this appointment. I will ask a lot of questions, some personal. You never have to answer anything you are uncomfortable with. We will then discuss your symptoms and diagnosis and begin a treatment plan specific to your needs. Each follow-up appointment will be shorter in duration, approximately 20-30 minutes. We will follow up with current changes with symptoms and side effects experienced and determine how to proceed with your treatment plan.
