Joana Reyes is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude honors from Molloy College in 2010 and her Master of Science in Family Nursing from New York University in 2015. Patient care is her passion and calling. Because of her qualities, she has developed enduring bonds with patients, showing strength through her patient care relationships.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
In my opinion, the role of a primary care provider is to be an active listener and provide care with compassion, empathy, and understanding. Because of these qualities, I have developed long-term bonds and strong patient care relationships with my patients. I am fully committed and dedicated to providing excellent service to all of my patients.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
Joana Reyes is a family-oriented, single mother of two wonderful children. She dedicates her spare time to spending quality moments with her children, family, and friends. She also enjoys learning new things, traveling, enjoying nature, practicing yoga, cooking, reading, and staying active.

Bizarre - doctor was very nice but said she was going to call in a prescription and never did. I was unable to get in touch with her or anyone at the clinic after the fact, so it wasn’t a helpful appointment.
