About Joanne Morency
From a young age, I remember always wanting to help others whenever the opportunity arose. Becoming a healthcare provider allows me to help others more specifically and meaningfully.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I love that I can provide healthcare services across the lifespan. I chose this specialty because I didn't want to narrow my scope of practice to just one area. This broad approach lets me care for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Connecting with my patients is very important to me. I give them my full attention when they express themselves. Active listening, showing empathy, and acknowledging their concerns are essential ways I build trust and understanding.
Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, biking, and traveling. These activities help me stay balanced and energized.
I encourage my patients to practice healthy behaviors such as regular physical activity and maintaining healthy eating habits.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix and completed my Master's in Nursing at South University, which prepared me to provide comprehensive care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She walked into the room with gloves on and a mask and I had one and I thought she just got out of surgery. I said to her did you just get out of surgery or was you touching another patient? I was very concerned because I didn’t want to catch what the other patient had. It was very concerning.
