About Dr. Joel Ang
Areas of Practice: HIV Diagnosis & Treatment, LGBT Healthcare, HIV PrEP. Lab work is performed at the time of service. CHECK YOUR EMAIL for our welcome email; during business hours, this email is sent within an hour of your booking. PLEASE ALLOW up to 2 HOURS for your appointment. During this time, laboratory work, history, vital signs, and baseline procedures such as EKG, Pulmonary Function, and/or Bone Density assessments are done prior to physician consultation so that Dr. Ang will have the results available to discuss with you. This does lead to longer visit times (up to 2 hours) but eliminates the need for second visits to review results. Comprehensive care is the prevention and management of disease based on your current and past health, family history, and life events. Establishing a baseline assessment of your health today is central to ongoing care. Data-driven medicine allows for early identification of disease and also identifies trends requiring your attention. As each patient is unique, this creates a dialogue between patient and physician, and what I value in this is the potential for a long-term relationship with me and our office.
WE REQUIRE current insurance information prior to the visit. We REQUIRE mailing address and insurance in order to approve your appointment. WE DO NOT TAKE BLUE CHOICE or BLUE CHOICE ADVANTAGE.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES FOR WEIGHT MANAGEMENT, PAIN, OR ADD/ADHD are not prescribed. Patients are referred to the appropriate specialist.
