Getting to know John Adeleye

John is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's in Nursing from Walden University and decades of experience working with patients across the lifespan in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency crisis settings. I understand the devastation that mental illness can inflict on individuals, families, and society-from minor mood swings to bizarre psychosis, poor concentration, temper tantrums, addictions, and antisocial personalities. The effects of adverse childhood experiences can result in various mental and behavioral problems, which I deeply understand. Beyond my qualifications and experience, I also recognize the enormous privilege you accord me to be your clinician, and I take that responsibility very seriously.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I treat all my clients with respect. I listen carefully to their concerns and provide information that is specific to each situation. I ensure that each client understands the rationale for the treatment plan we decide on after considering all the relevant factors. I strive to maintain a relationship that is client-centered, trustworthy, and the client is motivated to participate with confidence. With each client I embark on a journey because treating mental illness requires time, mutual understanding, and trust. Thank you for entrusting me with the care of your mental health.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is simple starting with: Intake which is the collection and verification of clients information. Initial Assessment by in-person or telehealth consists of obtaining a complete psychiatric history of the client, this is the most important part of the visit because it provides information upon which diagnosis and treatment plan is formulated. It is also called the initial interview because lots of questions are asked to gain understanding since mental disorders cannot be diagnosed with a medical equipment. Diagnostic Impression based on information obtained from the history and recommendation from the DSM-5. Treatment Plan is developed with the client and it is specific to each client. Follow up appointments to monitor treatment progress.

Amazing visit very insightful. great with helping solve the issues. Would recommend!
Good :) session informative Highly recommend to anyone who needs his service.
They do not have an actual office. Everything was completed remotely. They sent me directions on how to get to the office. I walk inside of the office building and walked directly to the registry. His name nor the company name could be found on the registry. I called the office and the receptionist told me that they were working remote "today". I have asked for doctors notes as I was expecting to meet in person not virtual and notes have not been shared.
