About Dr. John Belmonte
IN Practice SINCE 1991
After graduating from university, I was suffering from severe headaches, and my medical doctor did not know what to do. My neck was always tight and stiff. My father had always gone for chiropractic treatment for his lower back, and I had a positive experience with my neck pain.
I decided to pursue a career in chiropractic. I attended New York Chiropractic College after completing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Recreational Therapy at SUNY Cortland. I worked for three years as a therapist, and during that time, I was a chiropractic patient. It wasn't long before I decided to make chiropractic my career.
Chiropractic was an alternative to drugs and surgery, and that was what was most appealing to me. I quickly realized that it made sense that my body was able to heal and repair itself. I was most interested in how to make that process happen on a daily basis more powerfully. The information I started learning in chiropractic college made me realize that most people are not being told the truth about their health and how the body works. People need to know what they can do to help themselves.
I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast College of Health Sciences, building on my foundation from SUNY Cortland.
Since 2009, I have been a member of the Sports Medicine Team for the PGA TOUR & Champions Tour, traveling to Tour events. My regular Tour players include Fred Funk, Brad Faxon, Tom Kite, Jay Haas, and Hale Irwin.
I am a Certified Level 1 & 2 medical professional through the Titleist Performance Institute.
In addition to offering complete Chiropractic and Wellness care, other services include Physical Therapy, Sports Performance, Massage Therapy, Chiropractic Sports Medicine, private and small group yoga and Pilates classes, and Gyrotonic.
