I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Purdue University Global.
My clinical background includes psychiatric mental health, case management, emergency and acute care, and dialysis nursing. These experiences have shaped the way I approach mental health care, especially for patients whose emotional well-being is closely connected to chronic medical conditions, work, family responsibilities, and other life stressors.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and other mood or attention concerns. I also have a special interest in renal-informed psychiatric care for individuals living with chronic kidney disease or receiving dialysis.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I take time to understand the whole person—not just a diagnosis—and consider medical history, medications, daily functioning, relationships, stress, and personal goals when developing a treatment plan.
When medication is appropriate, I explain the options clearly so we can make decisions together. I also value coordination with therapists, primary care providers, nephrologists, and other members of the healthcare team when it can support better care.

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, my goal is to provide thoughtful, personalized care that helps you understand what you’re experiencing and feel confident about your treatment plan. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep difficulties, and mood or attention concerns.

Every person’s experience is different. I take time to understand your symptoms, health history, challenges and goals so we can create a treatment plan that feels realistic and tailored to you.
2. Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
Your first visit focuses on understanding the full picture—not just a diagnosis. We’ll review your mental health history, medications, sleep, lifestyle, medical conditions, and how your symptoms affect daily life.
3. Medication Management
If medication may be helpful, we’ll discuss options together, including expected benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives. Treatment decisions are collaborative and adjusted based on how you respond over time.
4. Supportive and Coordinated Care
Mental health is often connected to physical health, work, relationships, and life stress. When appropriate, I can coordinate with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team.
5. ADHD Evaluation
For adults with concerns about attention, organization, focus, or executive functioning, ADHD evaluation and treatment are available through secure telehealth across California.
6. Renal-Informed Care
If you have chronic kidney disease or receive dialysis, I consider how kidney health, medications, treatment schedules, and other medical needs may affect your mental health care. When appropriate, I can coordinate with your nephrology or dialysis team.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
At Novascend Neurowellness, my process is designed to make psychiatric care feel clear, supportive, and personalized from the first visit. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, sleep problems, and mood or attention difficulties. I also provide renal-informed psychiatric care for adults living with chronic kidney disease or receiving dialysis.
The first session is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We review your current concerns, mental health and medical history, medications, sleep, stress, daily functioning, and previous treatments. I take time to understand how your symptoms are affecting your work, relationships, health, and everyday life.
Based on the evaluation, we develop a treatment plan together. Depending on your needs, this may include medication management, supportive therapeutic guidance, lifestyle recommendations, further assessment, or coordination with other members of your healthcare team.
If you are experiencing concerns with attention, focus, organization, or executive functioning, we can also explore whether ADHD may be contributing to your symptoms and discuss appropriate evaluation and treatment options.
For patients with chronic kidney disease or those receiving dialysis, I also consider kidney function, current medications, dialysis schedules, and other medical needs when developing a psychiatric treatment plan. When appropriate, I can coordinate with your nephrologist, dialysis team, primary care provider, or therapist.
Follow-up visits focus on how you are feeling, how treatment is working, any side effects or concerns, and whether adjustments are needed. My goal throughout the process is to provide clear guidance, answer your questions, and create a treatment plan that feels practical and manageable.
