I was highly impressed with Dr. Ellis. I felt immediately comfortable in his presence. He is empathic, intelligent, and professional. He asked interesting questions and conveyed sincere interest and warmth while not overstepping any boundaries.I had the impression he was speaking from a deep understanding and a wealth of experience. If I did not already have a therapist, I would have asked to work with him. He was trustworthy and easy to talk to.

He completely ignored half the reason I was there (sleep and anxiety) and when I pointed it out he said try not drinking caffeine which I don't then kicked me out of his office.

He was very awkward and didn't do much talking. He said, "Come on in" and then didn't say a word for about 10 minutes as he shuffled around his desk and got out his stuff. Very, very uncomfortable silence. He wouldjust stare at me over his glasses after I answered his questions. On the first appointment he suggested "you should just take it easy on yourself" (?). Took lots of convincing to have him put me back on my (very standard) old treatment plan. He pushed a certain SSRI (rhymes with Belexa) on more than one appointment. At all of my visits so far he thought I was on a different treatment, so he does not read notes before the session. I accidently missed an appointment and never recieved a call or outreach. I would not reccommend this doctor. Maybe he's only warm/caring/natural with patients that he's seen for a while?

Dr. Ellis is an outstanding psychiatrist and has helped me maintain an equilibrium with my family and my daughter who has very serious mental health issues. I recommend him to anyone who needs psychiatric care for themselves and loved ones.

Dr. Ellis is professional yet approachable. He was very flexible with me as I was held up in traffic and late for my appointment and he still took the time to meet with me without making me feel rushed. Always a nice experience.

This was my first visit. I felt very comfortable sharing with Dr. Ellis. My first impression was that he was a caring individual who was engaged in my issues. I felt he was a good listener and discussed what my goalswould be to the work we would do together.I feel that he may be a good fit for what I'm trying to resolve. He has a warm honest demeanor.

It was a nice visit. Nice guy. However he double booked at my pre-confirmed time with another patient which made for an awkward start but fine nonetheless.

Dr Ellis came out of his office at about 1145, my scheduled time, looked at me, said nothing and then left. He does not answer phone calls. I waited 2 hours past my appointment time.

I though Dr. Ellis was a wonderful listener and really helpful for my first visit. As a woman I typically am very uneasy about being men, but he was really great and very patient. If your looking for someone who isbubbly he is not your doctor. But if your like me, looking for someone to just listen and to help pinpoint your mental health needs and goals and make them tangible then he is your man!
