About Dr. John Fernandez

Dr. John Fernandez joined Max-Health Center in New York City in 2022, bringing a specialized combination of shockwave therapy, massage, and laser therapy-all designed to get you out of pain. Whether your pain is acute or chronic, this combination of treatments will help you feel your best for everything you do. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, New York, in April 1994. His postdoctoral certifications and education include Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA), Electrodiagnostic Testing & Interpretation (NCV/EMG), Graston Technique, and Kinesio-Taping. He holds hospital privileges at three New York surgical centers. Dr. Fernandez has been specially trained and certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia (M.U.A.) by the American Academy of Manual and Physical Medicine and the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Fernandez is also a Certified CPR & AED Trainer for the American Heart Association. He serves on the Governor's Advisory Cabinet of the American Chiropractic Association, is Past President of the Queens Chapter of the New York State Chiropractic Association, a member of the American Academy of Hospital Chiropractors, a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Medicine (F.R.C.C.M.), and an active member of the American Academy of Pain Management. He was one of the pioneering Chiropractic Attending Physicians at The New Parkway Hospital and continues to hold privileges at The Queens Surgical Center, Boulevard Surgical Center, and Physicians Choice. Dr. Fernandez is bilingual and, in addition to his New York State Chiropractic License, is rated for New York State Workers' Compensation and Independent Medical Examinations (I.M.E.).
