With over 27 years of clinical dermatology experience Dr. Garofalo strives to provide the utmost comprehensive and quality care, with compassion and clinical expertise to all of his patients.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and in Dermatology, Dr. Garofalo focuses on medical dermatology. Dr. Garofalo attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College in New York.He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset. He began his residency in Dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and completed his residency in Dermatology at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center New York, New York. His fellowship in Allergy, Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology was completed at Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, New York. Presently Dr. Garofalo serves as the Director of Dermatology at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, New York. Dr. Garofalo is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology since 1985 and a fellow of the Long Island Dermatology Society. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Garofalo enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, camping, fishing.

Dr. Garofalo is a one of a kind professional. I have seen multiple dermatologists about my skin condition but only Dr. Garofalo had a treatment that actually worked. You can tell that he has a ton of experience in this field and he truly cares about making the patient better. Wooooow ! Finally Dr who cares and knows.
Dr Garofalo explained carefully what skin problems do I have, how to treat them ,what results can I expect and what I can not. Nurses are very polite and knowledgeable. Everything took just enough required time, not careless fast, not necessarily slow. Is it accidental or this is the way they work?
After this first visit I'm very satisfied.

Dr. Garofalo is a very good doctor who is thorough with his examinations. I received a full body check for moles and he spent a great deal of time make sure he looked over every inch of my body carefully.
Upon finishing the exam, I had plenty of questions to ask him from things like acne to moles. He answered all of them and made sure I understood the best way to take care of my skin.
