About Dr. John Nguyen
Originally from California, Dr. John moved to the Midwest with his family at age nine. Growing up in Indiana, he balanced academics with athletics, playing football and competing in shot-put and discus. He went on to attend Purdue University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in History while completing his Pre-Med coursework.
After graduation, he pursued his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, where his clinical rotations in Levittown exposed him to a wide range of patients, from marathon runners to MMA fighters. After earning his degree in 2016, he returned to the Midwest to begin his chiropractic career.
Dr. John has treated patients of all ages, from newborns to centenarians, as well as athletes and individuals recovering from traumatic injuries. He believes that movement is essential to healing and maintaining a healthy, active life. His expertise spans multiple chiropractic techniques, soft tissue therapies, and rehabilitative exercises designed to help patients reduce pain, improve function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Outside the office, Dr. John stays active with weightlifting, running, yoga, and CrossFit. He enjoys golf, fly fishing, hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends. A passionate traveler, he loves exploring new cultures, meeting locals, and sampling cuisines from around the world.

I’ve had such a great experience here at Total Balance. Dr. John truly takes the time to listen, explain what’s going on, and tailor each visit to what my body actually needs that day.
