About Dr. John Stewart
With over 25 years of experience in ENT care, Dr. John S. Stewart is a nationally recognized leader in minimally invasive sinus and allergy treatments. Board-certified in Otorhinolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery, Dr. Stewart brings extensive clinical expertise and a compassionate, patient-first approach to the Breathe Better Institute.
He earned dual degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Grand Canyon University and completed his medical training at Freeman Health Systems in Joplin, Missouri. He went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery under the legendary Dr. Michael Paparella in Minneapolis, MN. A pioneer in nasal endoscopy for skull base surgery, Dr. Stewart has published numerous scientific papers and remains on the leading edge of innovation in ENT care.
Dr. Stewart is known for delivering life-changing results through advanced, in-office sinus procedures that reduce pain, eliminate the need for hospital stays, and get patients back to their lives faster. His care philosophy centers around whole-person healing—focusing not just on symptoms, but on solving root causes through personalized treatment plans and concierge-level service.
Before joining Breathe Better, Dr. Stewart earned top patient satisfaction scores at premier ENT practices in Minneapolis, Starkville, and Scottsdale. Recruited by local residents who wanted to bring his exceptional care to North Alabama, Dr. Stewart is now proud to serve the Huntsville community.
Outside of work, Dr. Stewart enjoys hiking, biking, travel, and movie nights with his family. He and his wife, Jennifer, recently relocated to Huntsville with their children—Nohl (17), Scottlyn (5), and their loyal chocolate lab, Cocoa. Their older children, Morgan (21) and Grayson (18), currently reside in Arizona. Together, the Stewarts are excited to explore their new home and give back to the community, both in and out of the clinic.

Everything from my CT Scan to my procedure consult with Amanda and Andrew was incredible. I signed up for my balloon procedure in my first visit. Had surgery yesterday and it was PAINLESS. The doctor was very clear about what I needed to do for aftercare and was very aware of my case. I’m so excited to be fully healed so I can experience the great results. Today is my first day after surgery and very minimal discomfort. I recommend 10000% if you have sinus issues that haven’t been resolved from other ENTS/sinus surgeries like myself.
