I became a naturopathic physician because I believe the body has a remarkable capacity to heal — and that most people never get the chance to experience that fully, because no one has taken the time to understand the root causes of what's holding them back. At Purety Family Medical Clinic, the practice I co-founded in Santa Barbara alongside my partner Dr. Dena Birch, ND, we've spent over a decade doing exactly that. We see patients of all ages — from children and families to athletes and older adults — who are dealing with everything from chronic digestive issues and pain to hormonal imbalances, autoimmune conditions, and complex illness that hasn't responded to conventional care alone. My approach brings together three things I believe every patient deserves: a thorough search for root causes, a treatment plan built around their individual biology and life circumstances, and a genuine partnership in their healing. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all protocol. I believe in listening carefully, running the right tests, and then combining the best of natural medicine with advanced biotherapeutic options to help each person get real, lasting results. Clinically, I specialize in gut health and microbiome restoration — including fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), which we offer by enema and triple-encapsulated capsule. I also specialize in regenerative orthopedic injections including prolotherapy, prolozone, and PRP for musculoskeletal pain and injury, and in IV and ozone therapies for immune support, energy, anti-aging, and chronic disease. These are evidence-informed tools that, in the right patient, can produce outcomes that nothing else has been able to achieve. Santa Barbara has been our home and our community since we opened Purety Clinic in 2014 Relationship-based care is what drives me — not just helping someone feel better in the short term, but being a physician they can rely on for the long haul.
