Within a safe space, therapy provides an opportunity to develop a unique relationship with another person to discuss whatever brought you here today. It is important to me to understand the significance for each individual of his or her feelings, thoughts, and beliefs. Together, we will hopefully come to understand the underlying sources of your stress, as well as new aspects of yourself, that were previously hidden from awareness. Dr. Eger received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University, and his certificate in psychoanalysis from NYU's Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. He has a wide range of expertise with children, adolescents, and adults in settings such as private practice, hospitals, and a community-based mental health clinic.
