All great except Zocdoc had the time wrong. The provider was in CA which was 3 hrs behind so I kept getting emails that my appt was at 7 am instead of 10 AM. Timing for virtual appts should be where the patient is located, not the provider

Dr. Hulkower brings a wide range of psychiatry experience to his practice with Skypiatrist. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his medical training at Hillside Hospital and Cohen Children’s, both divisions of Long Island Jewish Medical Center. In 1995, he left New York and moved back to his native Los Angeles to work at the West LA VA Medical Center, where he helped run the Psychiatric Intensive Crisis Unit. Dr. Hulkower later moved to the Edelman Westside Mental Health Center, a division of the LA County Department of Mental Health. In 1999, he began working in private practice through Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Due to his experience in crisis management, Dr. Hulkower is particularly good at quickly assessing crises and getting to the bottom of complex problems. He prides himself on having a strong sense of humor and an ability to make his patients feel immediately at ease. A fan of stories and literature, Dr. Hulkower takes a co-creative approach to treatment. He won’t write his patients’ stories for them, but he’ll provide feedback and support along the way.
After twenty years in private practice, Dr. Hulkower decided to switch from traditional office-based treatment to Telemedicine. In his experience, Telemedicine helps patients prioritize their mental health by creating a more relaxed treatment environment.
