About Dr. Jonathan Julia

Dr. Jonathan Julia grew up in New England, midway between Boston and New York City. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a concentration in Pre-medicine and minor in History, from Boston College in 2009. He earned his Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C in 2011, graduating with honors. He matriculated into the Georgetown University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine in 2016, graduating with honors, after electing to complete an additional year of clinical research on top of his academics. After medical school, Dr. Julia moved to Texas to be closer to his wife’s family. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2020, serving as administrative Chief Resident in his final year of training. Dr. Julia completed his fellowship in Pain Medicine in 2021, also at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. While in fellowship, Dr. Julia continued to practice trauma anesthesiology, while also serving as an assistant professor in the UT Health School of Medicine. After fellowship, Dr. Julia moved to Austin, Texas to join Dr.’s Silberberg, Bednar, and Jarzombek at Greater Austin Pain Center in 2021. Dr. Julia enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking, traveling, and exploring Austin with his family and their dogs.
