Jonathan H. Lee, MD, Medical Director of Holy Name Cancer Care, is a fellowship trained surgical oncologist and nationally known expert in the treatment of melanoma and complex skin cancers. Throughout his career, he has accomplished significant achievements in both melanoma research and multidisciplinary melanoma program development. Dr. Lee has published numerous original research articles in high-impact journals and has lectured internationally.
Dr. Lee received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at University of Rochester Medical Center, and a surgical oncology fellowship at John Wayne Cancer Institute. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology.
Dr. Lee joined Holy Name in 2021 as the Medical Director for the cancer program, and is currently the region’s only fellowship-trained surgical oncologist whose clinical practice is focused solely on taking care of patients with melanoma and complex skin cancers.
Dr. Lee believes in the uniqueness of each individual’s cancer journey and strives to serve as a faithful guide throughout that journey. He focuses on best outcomes while preserving each individual’s autonomy and personal values.
