Getting to know Jonathan Llamas
Dr. Llamas received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University in 2013 and earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Loma Linda University in 2019. He has an extensive nursing background caring for the adult population in inpatient psychiatric and acute care settings at Kaiser Permanente Mental Health Center, AdventHealth Orlando, and Harbor UCLA Medical Center. During his doctoral studies at Loma Linda University, he successfully implemented a quality improvement project utilizing the LOWLINE model, which significantly reduced the frequency of physical restraints used on emotionally dysregulated patients in the mental health setting.
Dr. Llamas believes in a holistic, empathetic, collaborative, and patient-centered approach, uniquely assessing each person to construct an individualized treatment plan tailored to meet their physical, mental, and emotional needs. His clinical interests include Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Insomnia, and ADHD. In his spare time, Dr. Llamas serves as the Chapter President for the West Coast University Alumni Association and is also a published author, distinguished speaker, freelance writer, and emerging healthcare leader. His passions include creating meaningful and impactful experiences with his patients, promoting mental health awareness through education, and inspiring the future generation of healthcare providers.

So my Dr, Dr Jonathon Martin Llamas, is the best there is. He specializes in ADHD care - and has the whole spectrum of tools for anyone who is lucky enough to be in his care. His consistent support and brilliant wealth of knowledge has helped me overcome so many of the obstacles my disorder used to throw at me. My life is actually better since I’ve been in his care.
He listens. Truly listens. And based on your synptoms/challenges will offer you help in the ways that YOU need, personalized.
And most important, he truly cares. He’s one of a kind.

Dr. Llamas Jonathan is the best psychiatrist NP ever. He has the patience of a saint. He actively listens. He asks for suggestions before giving feedback. He does complete assessments of medical history and medications. He’s new practice makes it easier to communicate. I started with him during Covid and lost him after he moved from his prior practice. I literally had to hunt him down when I needed a psychiatrist again. That’s how much I love his care. God bless him.
