Jonathan Murphy, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of career experience. He earned his Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Boston College, graduating with honors in 2017. Jon has developed a high level of expertise in the treatment of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults. His treatment style is built upon a strong foundation in psychotherapy and is tailored to each client's unique needs. Jon is also experienced in the treatment of depression, anxiety, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and bipolar disorder.
What should a new client know about working with you?
New clients should expect a collaborative, problem-solving approach to treatment. Psychiatric medication is an important aspect of treatment for many. That being said, the best outcomes are when both medication and therapy are applied. Jon ensures that he develops the most thorough and accurate understanding of each new client, to reduce risk and ensure safety while managing medications.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The most important aspect of treatment is an honest, and open dialog. My goal with every patient, is to ensure they have a voice. Working together, my hope is to encourage everybody I meet with to get the most out of their lives.
