Getting to know Jordan Bowman

Hi, I’m Jordan Bowman, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over a decade of experience helping people navigate their mental health. I earned my Master’s in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Capella University, which deepened my understanding of the complex factors influencing mental wellness. I’ve always been passionate about exploring the deeper connections between the mind and body, which is why I take a holistic approach to treatment. Mental health is more than just symptom management—it’s about uncovering the root causes, whether that’s trauma, genetics, gut health, or lifestyle factors. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also gain the tools and confidence to build lasting resilience and well-being.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a laid-back, conversational approach because I believe real healing happens through genuine human connection. Mental health care shouldn’t feel clinical or intimidating—it should feel like an open, honest discussion where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you unlock the potential that’s already there. I bring my expertise in psychiatry, but the best outcomes happen when we work together to find what truly fits you. Whether that’s medication, therapy, or simple lifestyle changes, my goal is to collaborate with you in a way that feels natural and empowering.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first visit is all about listening and discussing your options. There’s zero pressure, no expectations—just a conversation to explore what’s going on and what might help. We’ll take the time to dive into the root cause of your struggles and figure out what approaches make the most sense for you. My goal is to make sure you leave that first appointment feeling informed, supported, and in control of your next steps. Whether that means starting medication, considering therapy, or simply learning more about your options, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

Jordan was great and very knowledgeable. I did book an appointment with another doctor prior to him that was not so great and was very frustrating to say the least as they not only no showed my appointment they tried to charge me for the appointment they missed/canceled on their side. Glad I gave Zocdoc a second chance and was able to meet with Jordan.

Favorite provider I've ever had! He just gets me.
Jordan is an awesome provider! Glad I found him. He is very easy to talk to, and focuses on the whole picture not just a quick fix of meds, which I LOVE.
Jordan is kind and easy to talk to. He also is really good about explaining things that are difficult to understand, something that isn't easy to do. I look forward to continue working with him.
I've met with all three providers at Hope Mental Health, and each one has been a joy to work with. I've had nightmare experiences in the past with medication management, but here I actually feel heard. Jordan is super knowledgeable, and he shares unique tips that I hadn't even thought of before for my own health. I look forward to our visits!
Jordan is awesome! He's super laid back and makes you feel comfortable. I was super nervous going into first appointment, but he helped me feel at ease over the course of the visit. I will be recommending him to my own family, and that is something I rarely do.
Jordan has tremendous insight into personal and collective experiences. His work and insights have been supportive in my journey.
Wow. Easily the most attentive and personable provider I have had. I have seen significant improvement in the 6 months I've seen him.

I'm so grateful we discovered this place! Jordan has been instrumental in helping my son regain his sense of self. I’m really impressed by his ability to build a strong connection and thoughtfully guide a struggling teenager through their challenges—especially through a computer screen.
He's really nice! Enjoyed my visit with him. I appreciated how he focused on a lot of lifestyle things and not just throwing a medication at me.

He is by far the best provider I have had for mental health. He listens to you, and you can tell he genuinely cares. It has been such a relief to find Jordan, and I will be having my daughter see him too.
