Getting to know Jordan Mckenzie Osborne

I’m Kenzie Osborne, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my master’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and my bachelor’s in nursing from Freed-Hardeman University. Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I worked in emergency medicine, where I cared for people during some of the most intense and vulnerable moments of their lives. That work gave me a deep respect for the complexity of mental health and the importance of meeting people where they are. I’ve been fortunate to work with individuals from many walks of life, including those navigating poverty, trauma, addiction, and other systemic challenges. These experiences have shaped my approach to care: compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe in creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work toward your goals together. Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our four dogs. Traveling is one of my favorite ways to recharge and find inspiration. Whether this is your first time seeking support or you're continuing a long-term mental health journey, I'm here to partner with you in a way that feels genuine, grounded, and tailored to you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to care is holistic and collaborative. While medication is a helpful tool, I don’t believe it’s the only answer. I work with clients to explore therapeutic techniques, lifestyle strategies, and practical coping skills that support long-term healing and growth. My goal is to help each person feel empowered in their treatment and to create a plan that addresses the full picture, not just the symptoms.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling supported, understood, and more equipped to handle what they’re going through. I focus on creating a space that’s safe, collaborative, and practical. We’ll talk about what’s working and what’s not, explore helpful coping tools, and find the right treatment plan together. My hope is that each session feels like a step forward, whether that’s gaining insight, building new skills, or just having a space to be honest and real.
