What should a new client know about working with you?

Having worked heavily at the Department of Veterans Affairs during residency, I have a strong foundation in the diagnosis and treatment of depressive disorders, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, substance misuse, and bipolar disorders. I have worked in inpatient psychiatric settings, corrections, somatic treatment programs for treatment refractory depression, outpatient facilities as well as dual diagnosis residential programs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a focused approach with each patient, while also appreciating the broad range of psychosocial stressors that can contribute to a patient’s presentation. I treat no two cases the same and enjoy providing psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as interpersonal, insight based, supportive and motivational interviewing. Though extensively trained in medication management, I strive to develop a treatment plan addressing illness from all angles to ensure positive patient outcomes and satisfaction. Being a Florida native I am excited to be able to serve a community that has given me such a wonderful place to call home for most of my life.
