About Jordana Turkel

Jordana Turkel is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Dietetics and Nutrition, concentrating in Pediatrics. Jordana specializes in weight management, weight loss medications, diabetes, oncology, cardiology, maternity nutrition including pre- and postnatal care and lactation, pediatrics, food allergies, behavioral health, GI disorders, and ostomy nutrition. With extensive experience in clinical nutrition and obesity management, Jordana provides personalized, evidence-based nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy. She has specialized expertise in weight loss medications and works with patients to combine nutrition, lifestyle changes, and pharmacotherapy to support sustainable results. Jordana also has extensive knowledge of diabetes technology and management. She provides diabetes self-management education and is experienced in reviewing blood glucose, food intake, insulin dosing, insulin pump, and continuous glucose monitor data. Her nutrition philosophy is food first. Jordana believes in individualized, client-driven counseling focused on realistic goal setting and sustainable behavioral and lifestyle changes. She helps patients better understand their appetite and hunger and fullness signals, become more mindful and effective eaters, and develop practical strategies that support long-term health and wellness. Insurance & Payment Information Our commitment is to provide personalized, high-quality care. To allow sufficient time and flexibility to care for each patient individually, our office is out-of-network with all insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. We maintain a set fee schedule to help minimize unexpected costs. After your visit, we provide an itemized receipt and/or superbill that you may submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement, based on your plan. Office visits may also be paid using FSA/HSA
