“Dr. Doenges is the man! He's very professional & highly experienced. He had removed a cyst from the top of my ear, stitched up the wound & I didn't feel a thing. My appointment was at 11:20 & I was seen very promptly, upon arrival. This procedure was done in about 35 mins. Quick & painless. I would highly recommend Dr. Doenges to anybody seeking a dermatologist is the area. Everybody at the reception desk is also very friendly & easy to deal with. I can see why Suncoast has such good reviews. They definitely earned them. With so many options in the area, I'm grateful to have picked a dermatologist who I can trust & feel comfortable going back to with any of my future skin care needs.”

About Dr. Josef Doenges
Josef Doenges, MD, was born in Texas and raised with a strong appreciation for learning, fitness and language, having lived 6 years in Germany. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in German with a minor in Biomedical Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He then went on to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in 1997.
Dr. Doenges completed his Internal Medicine internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio before pursuing a dermatology residency at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year.
Following residency, Dr. Doenges embarked on a distinguished 22-year military career, serving in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. As a Navy dermatologist, he was Department Head of Dermatology at U.S. Naval Hospitals in Okinawa, Japan, and Rota, Spain. After 6 years in the Navy, he returned to Texas, practicing Dermatology in the Woodlands, Texas. He then returned to the military, joining the Air Force, to take an assignment in Landstuhl, Germany. In his time in the Air Force, he held multiple leadership positions, including Chief of Medical Staff at the 6th Medical Group, MacDill Air Force Base, where he oversaw care for more than 215,000 beneficiaries. Throughout his military service, he earned multiple commendations, including the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
Dr. Doenges is board-certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery specializing in medical and surgical dermatology, with a particular interest in optimizing lifestyle to achieve better health.
Dr. Doenges is fluent in German and proficient in Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys fitness, traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.

I left 3 messages for refills. Waited for refill. Nothing after 3 messages, with a message to call me. Never heard back. I love the doctor, but impossible to get communication from office. Gotta go with someone else…… sorry doc! I love your bedside manner, but your support staff is going to drive customers crazy!!
