“I switched to a Psychnp because my schedule didn't allow me to continue seeing my psychiatrist. I started seeing Joe earlier in the year. I was a little worried about how things would go, but he has been wonderful. He is caring, always follows up and is truly concerned about my health.”

Getting to know Joseph Caracci

With over 30 years of healthcare expertise, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. My education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University, and advanced certifications in psychiatry and psychopharmacology, ensuring a deep understanding of both therapy and medication management. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions, I offer personalized, judgment-free support tailored to your unique goals. Let’s collaborate virtually or in-person to empower your mental health journey with science, empathy, and actionable steps toward growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Your mental health is a story—not just a diagnosis. I’m here to listen to all of it: the biology, emotions, and life experiences that make you who you are. Together, we’ll untangle the roots of your struggles—whether ADHD keeps you stuck in chaos, anxiety dims your joy, or past trauma weighs heavier each day. In a safe, judgment-free space, you’ll find more than prescriptions. We’ll craft a plan that honors your body and your values, using medication strategically and counseling to rebuild resilience. We can utilize genetic testing to personalize doses, education to demystify your care, and unwavering hope in your brain’s ability to heal. You’re not a checklist of symptoms; you are a partner in your care. Importantly, I emphasize hope—harnessing the brain’s neuroplasticity to foster healing and growth, one intentional step at a time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your initial visit will begin with a collaborative conversation—a safe, judgment-free space where we’ll explore your medical and psychiatric history, your current challenges, and your goals. I prioritize empathy, confidentiality, and acceptance, ensuring you feel heard and respected from our very first session. Together, we’ll craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, which may include evidence-based medication (prescribed strategically to minimize side effects and polypharmacy), and lifestyle or supplement guidance to support holistic healing when requested. Follow-ups are structured to track progress, adjust care as needed, and answer questions openly—because your understanding of your diagnosis, treatment options, and the why behind every decision matters.

I truly appreciate the time and care shown by Joe Caracci to help me with my anxiety. He's a very genuine provider with a balanced approach where he gave me medication but also talks with me so that I can see the thoughts that are making me stressed out. Thanks to Joe for excellent work!
Joe Caracci is great. He listens and genuinely cares about his patients. He took the time to explain the different medicines and how they work. It was the first time anyone explained things to me without just telling me that I needed to be on a pill.
Joe is truly amazing and kind. He listened attentively to what I was saying and maintained a wonderful attitude. He ensured that all my questions were answered and that I understood what was going on. I really appreciate him and the care he shows for the people he talks to.
Joe has a calming presence, is an excellent listener and is very insightful. I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts & emotions pertaining to my illness that I am not able to completely share with my family and friends.
I liked that Joe was soft-spoken which made me feel more comfortable. I also liked that he took the time to explain to me why he recommended certain medications and how they can help. I would definitely recommend him.
I was able to get me son in to see Joe Caracci in about a week. He was kind and took the time to get to know my son's medical history and everything going on with him. He also took the time to explain ADHD and why he chose to start my son with a medication called guanfacine. I would highly recommend his practice.
