About Joseph Chiera
Joey Chiera, PA-C, has been working as a Physician Associate (PA) in Dermatology for several years, seeing clients for a wide array of medical concerns and aesthetic treatments.
Originally from New York, he earned his Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Stony Brook University on Long Island, one of the top PA programs in the country. After working for a few years in New York City, he relocated to the SF Bay Area in 2017, spending 18 months conducting numerous hair restoration procedures before returning to his “home” in the field of aesthetics, including all the joys and rewards of facial and body wellness. He is proud to be a distinguished Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology PAs.
As a practitioner, Joey strives to make his clients feel not only reassured with his unparalleled eye for precision and expertise, but also well-at-ease with his light-hearted style and sense of humor. He values educating and empowering his clients when it comes to choosing among in-office services and procedures, while promoting individually-tailored home regimens that align with one’s busy schedule, lifestyle, and budget.
Joey has also retained his excitement for supporting clients with hair concerns. His favorite procedure is hair restoration. He is a firm believer in the power of early intervention and has several recommendations for supportive measures that can be done at home. Regardless of the service or procedure, Joey always aims to achieve balanced, natural-looking, and long-lasting results.
In all that he does, Joey exhibits a clear passion for learning. He frequently partakes in supplemental training courses and attends local and national conferences. He holds another Master’s Degree in Animal Behavior and is also an avid birder and traveler, having visited nearly 25 countries.
During his time away from SkinSpirit, Joey can be found tending to his indoor urban jungle, taking his rescue chihuahua, Dolores, to the dog park, or practicing gymnastics.
