What should a new client know about working with you?
I use several different techniques and orientations in my process so that I am able to adapt to the individual patient. I am genuine and dedicated to helping you to be the best you can possibly be. I am a laid back provider that is transparent and collaborative with patients. We will identify the issues and discuss solutions that will work best for you. I am a responsive provider that likes to handle issues quickly outside of the therapeutic milieu. Therefore, I encourage patients to reach out to me between sessions if they have any concerns or questions. I also like to know if things are not going the way you like or if there is something you dont feel comfortable with. I am receptive to your feedback so that I can be the best clinician I can be!
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I like knowing where particular symptoms come from and how they evolved into what is going on now. I think your story is so important and a thorough history is essential. I like setting goals with patients so that we have a clear plan of what we are trying to achieve. Every visit we will reassess how our treatment plan is working and make adjustments when we need to. Also, I like to know about your life (relationships, work, personal hobbies or accomplishments). I think these are great variables to include so that we can have benchmarks for achieving our therapeutic goals. I want every patient feeling like they have left the visit with something they didnt have when walking in; Be it an insight, education, or a therapeutic strategy.
